Day 1

Marrakech to Dades Valley via High Atlas and Ait Ben Haddou

Your 2-day tour from Marrakech to the Todra Gorges begins early in the morning, when you leave the vibrant streets of Marrakech behind and head towards the High Atlas Mountains. The road steadily climbs through the spectacular Tizi N’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views of valleys, mountain peaks, and traditional villages clinging to the hillsides.

After crossing the mountains, you will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village that feels frozen in time. Walking through its earthen alleys, you can truly experience Morocco’s past, and it’s easy to see why the location has been used in many films.

Next, the journey continues towards Ouarzazate, a gateway to the desert, passing through palm groves and small villages in the Skoura oasis along the way. As the landscape changes again, you enter the fragrant Valley of Roses, renowned for its seasonal blooms and tranquil atmosphere.

By late afternoon, you will reach the stunning Dades Valley, where dramatic rock formations and lush green riverbanks create a striking contrast. You can then settle into your hotel or riad, enjoy a traditional dinner, and relax for the night, surrounded by nature.

Day 2

From Dades Valley to Todra Gorge, then back to Marrakech.

After breakfast, the journey continues towards one of Morocco’s most impressive natural attractions: the towering Todra Gorge. As you walk through this narrow canyon, the soaring cliffs create a cool, peaceful atmosphere that feels worlds away from the open valleys of the previous day.

There will be time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the calm surroundings before heading to a local restaurant near Tinghir for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will begin your return journey to Marrakech. The drive back offers one last opportunity to take in the beauty of southern Morocco, passing through villages and rocky landscapes with wide-open views. You will arrive in Marrakech in the early evening, marking the end of your memorable two-day tour to the Todra Gorges.
