Phase 1: Marrakech and the High Atlas

Day 1

Arrival in Marrakech

Welcome to Marrakech, a city known as the Red City. You arrive in Marrakech and are taken to a traditional riad in the midst of the Medina. In the evening, you make your way to the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa.

Here, you are immersed in a world of storytellers, food vendors, and music. You experience the pulse of Morocco on your first night in Marrakech.

Day 2

Guided Tour of Marrakech

Today, you’ll explore the cultural treasures of Marrakech with the help of a local guide. You’ll visit the beautiful Bahia Palace, the historical Saadian Tombs, and the serene Majorelle Garden.

The afternoon is for getting lost in the vibrant souks, where local craftspeople work with leather, wood, and fabric as they have for centuries.

Day 3

Day Trip to Essaouira

Leaving the city behind, you head west to the Atlantic coast and visit Essaouira, a charming town famous for its ramparts and fresh seafood.

You stroll around the old port, visit the medina, and enjoy the ocean views, then return to Marrakech for the night.

Day 4

Marrakech to Dades Valley

Your journey continues across the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The road winds through dramatic landscapes and Berber villages. You visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Aït Benhaddou, a historic ksar built from earth and straw. By evening, you arrive in the peaceful Dades Valley, surrounded by unique rock formations.

Day 5

Dades Valley to Merzouga Sahara Desert

After breakfast, you walk through the stunning Todra Gorge, where tall canyon walls loom above you. Later, the scenery gradually shifts as you get closer to the Sahara. In Merzouga, your camel caravan is ready.

 You ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi just before sunset. Tonight, you will sleep in a desert camp beneath a sky filled with stars.

Day 6

Full Sahara Experience

Today is focused on exploring the Sahara region. You will meet local families living near the dunes and visit Khamlia village, famous for its traditional Gnaoua music.

You will ride through the desert landscapes by 4×4 and enjoy the quiet stillness of the dunes. Later, you will spend another enchanting night in the desert or in a cozy lodge close to the dunes.

Phase 3: The Imperial Heart of Morocco

Day 7

Merzouga to Fes

This scenic drive takes you through the Ziz Valley with its endless palm groves. You pass the cedar forests near Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques, before arriving in Fes by evening.

Guided Tour of Fes

Today, you will discover the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco, Fes. Inside the ancient medina of Fes el Bali, you will explore narrow alleys filled with artisans and historic schools.

 Highlights include the beautiful Al-Attarine Madrasa and the famous Chouara Tannery, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods.

Day 9

Meknes and Volubilis

Visiting the Roman ruins of Volubilis, one of the best-preserved archeological sites in Northern Africa. Also, visiting the Imperial City of Meknes to view the massive Bab Mansour Gate before going back to Fes.

Phase 4: The Blue Pearl and Northern Coast

Day 10

Fes to Chefchaouen

As you travel north into the Rif Mountains, you will see the blue city in the valley below. In Chefchaouen, you will find a peaceful community with picturesque streets painted in shades of blue. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to spend however you like.

Exploring Chefchaouen

You can hike up to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views over the town or visit the waterfalls of Akchour Waterfalls. The day is relaxed, perfect for photography and quiet moments.

Day 12

Chefchaouen to Tangier

Your final destination is Tangier, where Africa meets Europe. You visit Cape Spartel and the legendary Caves of Hercules. The ocean views here are unforgettable.

Departure

Your journey will conclude with memories of deserts, beaches, and mountains as you depart on an international flight from either Tangiers or Rabat after taking the fast train to Casablanca or Rabat (depending on your location).
