Day 1

Tangier – Chefchaouen

Your adventure begins in Tangier, where Europe meets Africa. After a short panoramic tour of this cosmopolitan city overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, we travel south into the Rif Mountains.

 As the road curves through green hills, you will arrive in magical Chefchaouen, the famous Blue Pearl of Morocco. Its peaceful atmosphere, blue-painted streets, and mountain setting create the perfect introduction to your Moroccan journey. Overnight in a charming local hotel.

Day 2

Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast, we leave the Rif Mountains and head toward Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, where ancient mosaics and columns tell stories of a powerful empire. We then continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, known for its grand gates and royal history. By late afternoon, we reach Fez, the spiritual and cultural heart of the country. Overnight in a traditional riad inside the medina.

Day 3

Guided Tour of Fez

Today is dedicated to exploring Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage city filled with history and life. You will visit the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest university in the world still operating, walk through the ancient tanneries, and wander inside one of the largest medieval medinas on Earth. The narrow alleys, colorful souks, and smell of spices create an atmosphere that feels untouched by time.

Day 4

Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

We leave Fez and travel south to Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco because of its alpine-style architecture. Passing through Azrou’s cedar forests, you may spot Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat.

The journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the breathtaking Ziz Valley, filled with endless palm groves. By evening, we reach Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara. Here, you will ride a camel into the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp under a sky full of stars.

Day 5

Merzouga Desert Experience

After sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, we begin a full desert exploration by 4×4. We follow parts of the old Paris-Dakar Rally route, visit nomadic families to share traditional tea, and explore desert villages like Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music heritage. In the afternoon, you will once again experience the magic of the Sahara as the sun sets over the golden dunes, followed by dinner and Berber music around the campfire.

Day 6

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

We wake early for a spectacular desert sunrise before heading to Rissani, famous for its traditional market. Continuing through Erfoud, known for fossils, we drive toward the dramatic cliffs of Todra Gorge. Towering canyon walls make this one of Morocco’s most impressive natural wonders. In the late afternoon, we reach the scenic Dades Valley for an overnight stay.

Day 7

Dades – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we travel through the Valley of Roses toward Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Africa. We then visit the iconic Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for many famous movies. Crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, we arrive in Marrakech in the evening.

Day 8

Marrakech Guided Tour

Today, we explore Marrakech, the vibrant Red City. We visit landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Menara Gardens. In the afternoon, you can wander through the colorful souks and experience the energy of Jemaa el-Fna Square.

Day Trip to Essaouira

We leave Marrakech in the morning and head to the Atlantic coast to discover Essaouira. This charming seaside town is known for its old Portuguese harbor, white-and-blue medina, fresh seafood, and relaxed atmosphere.

 You will have free time to explore the historic ramparts, stroll along the beach, and enjoy the artistic vibe before returning to Marrakech in the evening.

Marrakech – Tangier
